The mycotoxin Patulin is a metabolic product of a number of different mould fungi such as Penicillium patulum, P urticae, P. chrysogenum, P. roqueforti, Aspergillus clavatus, A. terreus und Byssochlamys nivea, which can be found on grain, bakery and meat products.
